So far, people have had mixed feelings about it. Some people have embraced it, others are suspicious of it and won&#8217;t touch it. How do we see it? In general, we look at it as a productivity tool that can make our lives easier, but can no means replace the human brain for what it can accomplish. Here are some of our thoughts:<\/p>\n<h3>AI Shouldn&#8217;t Be Used to Replace Good Writing<\/h3>\n<p>Yes, you can have your preferred AI tool spit out a completed article to use for content marketing, but should you really do that? We say no &#8211; nothing replaces good writing written by an actual person. There are a few reasons for this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bland.<\/strong> No matter what you do to prompt it, AI-generated writing sounds bland and stiff, with very little personality. Human writing, on the other hand, is unique and filled with personality &#8211; and this is something that even the least skilled writers out there manage to accomplish.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Predictable.\u00a0<\/strong>AI writing can also be fairly predictable. After seeing enough AI-generated articles, most people can actually begin to tell. There are certain phrases that the AI tools repeat, and no matter how you try to get away from it, it&#8217;s hard to escape. Human-driven writing is harder to replicate or predict.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Unhelpful.\u00a0<\/strong>When it comes to creating content, your main priority should be for it to be helpful to your audience. Is AI-generated content really the best for the job? The answer, very likely, is no. Only you know the nuances well enough about your audience to actually compose content they&#8217;ll resonant with. No matter how well-prompted, AI won&#8217;t do the job as well as a human.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to Use AI to Help the Writing Process<\/h3>\n<p>You can, however, use AI to greatly assist the writing process, short of actually doing the writing. This is how you can use AI to make your life easier through the writing process:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Topics.\u00a0<\/strong>You can prompt AI to generate topic ideas for your articles. Granted, once it spits out a few titles, you will want to rewrite them &#8211; but AI can give you insights into topics for your industry that you may not even have thought of.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Structure.\u00a0<\/strong>If you are stumped as to how to structure a particular article, you can ask AI for insights on structure. How do they suggest you compose the article?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Research.\u00a0<\/strong>Do you often get stumped when it comes to research? Well, AI can help you get started. Ask AI for insights into your topic, and then use that information to spark your own research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As you can see, AI can be used as a tool to assist your writing process. It should not be used to replace the actual writing. Besides, over time, it&#8217;s very possible the search engines will crack down on this and ding content that had been generated by AI.
